- why don't you use error correction? I'd at least try normal mode - flow
- control, buffer.
-

-
- DO NOT DO THIS. Set hardware handshake (aka 7-wire handshare, RTS/CTS)
-
- > &D2 (DTR Setting)
-
- THIS may be the problem: Try &D0 (no hang up on DTR drop). Maybe the DTR
- line drops when the game starts up which makes the modem close the
- connection.
-

-
- not needed in direct mode. but direct mode usually is a bad idea anyhow.
-
- use %C2: V.42bis does no harm in any way + automagically disables itself
- if modem encounters incompressible data such as .zip and .lzx files
- (unlike MNP5 which can lose performance in this case)

-
- I'd rather try S37=6 (2400 bps) if running without flow control, error
- correction etc. 9600 requires flow control and probably error
- free connects. ;-)
-
-
-
- Suggestion: try in this order:
- 1st set &D0 and &K<don't know code> 7-wire (hardware, RTS/CTS) handshake
- (do not forget to set your port to hardware handshake also)
- 2nd set %C2 and error correction on
- 3rd set S37 = 11,10,9,...
-
- hope this helps.
